Yemi provides overall leadership, management and direction for the business, from fundraising to deal origination, execution and portfolio management. He also champions the ESG and Impact efforts of our business. He has over 23 years of experience as an Investor, Operator and Advisor.

He was previously the co-head of Africa private equity for Standard Chartered Private Equity, where he had oversight for close to $1billion of investments across the continent and served on several portfolio company boards. Yemi co-founded Virgin Nigeria Airways in 2005 and was its Chief Operating Officer and a member of its Board. Prior to this he worked at Virgin Management, Hawkpoint Partners and Goldman Sachs. He holds a BEng (First Class Hons) and PhD in Chemical Engineering from Bath University.

Yemi is an avid marathon runner, having completed 10 marathons. He holds the team marathon personal best to date, having completed the New York Marathon in 4hrs 03m (although, word has it some unnamed team members are plotting a takedown in 2024!)
