George Sognon

George is an Associate on the investment team. He is responsible for deal origination, execution, and monitoring of investments and divestments.

As a former investment banker, George has advised a number of financial institutions including banks, non-bank financial institutions, and insurance companies across Sub-Saharan Africa. He has helped in capital-raising deals including IPOs, rights issue, and corporate bonds as well as M&A deals in East and West Africa. He previously worked as an investment professional for Acuity Venture Partners, an Africa-based VC focused on investing in technology start-ups.

George holds an MCom. in Development Finance from the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business and a BSc. in Business Administration from Ashesi University. He is a licensed investment advisor by the Securities and Exchange Commission, Ghana.

George enjoys long-distance road trips and hiking.
